So I’ve recently have gotten my axolotl a 20 gallon long tank about a week ago and there’s this weird slimy stuff in my axolotls tank I don’t know if this is normal or not please help!!! It’s the weird clear blobs at the top of the tank! It was hard to take a picture that shows

looks like some sort of algae. algae grows when you're aquarium is in direct sunlight.
scrub it away then see if it regrows. if it does you may have to move your aquarium.

Oh alright there isn’t really any direct sunlight there’s a window to the left but it hits more of my geckos tank there is curtains though.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
