My name is Orko Sarkar. and I live in Miami. I decided to make an account here to do some more research on axolotls. My current goal is to buy a 20 gallon tall tank, get it up and running for my fish, transfer them there, and then buy and keep an axolotl in my 10 gal.

Thanks!

Orko

Well hello! You have a spectacularly cool name!

Welcome to the forum, enjoy browsing, and hopefully you'll get your axie soon. You might want to plan for a bigger tank than 10 gal for the little fella though, its probably about the minimum, and theres nothing like watching them swimming and exploring a nice big tank ;)

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
