What are Gallery Photos & Images?

Hey everyone,

Well, like the title says, what are Gallery Photos & Images and how are they different to your personal photo albums? Do they take up any photo room you might have available or is this separate?

Just very curious to find out as I notice a few people do this and that photos appear on their main profiles.
