My best friend and fellow forum member fraustdemon and I did a mini-field herp excursion in search of a floating freshwater plant that we could culture for our axolotl tanks. As we were taking a few samples out to test, he noticed that a few of them had these small egg masses on them. Anyone have any idea what they could be? We are in the middle Georgia area <SOUTHEASTERN US>, the egg mass is about 3/8". At least...we think that it is an egg mass. Anyone have any ideas?

It´s a snail egg mass. Possibly of some species in the Physa/Physella group (or relatives) but that´s a long shot.

Many thanks! We were comepltely stumped since this was out first herp outing but certainly not our last!
