What is the quietest chiller?

I live in Australia and it is only just starting to warm up and I can't get my tank under 21 degrees celcius. I am looking at getting a chiller, which will only need to run in the summer, but the tank is in the bedroom. Can people please give me advice on the quietest chiller available? it is a 120L tank.

If it doesn't get much warmer than that having an evaporative fan blow over the tank should cool it down enough.

This probably won't help much since I have only a 10-gallon tank, but I've found a great deal of success using a combination of aquarium fan and ice probe chiller. It's not exactly a traditional chiller, but it only costs about 120 USD. For a tank that size though, you'd probably want 2 or maybe even three of them, but they are SUPER quiet. I'm a pretty light sleeper and have had it set up next to my bed with absolutely no problem.

Back to the fan though, they really do help, but since they cause an increased rate of evaporation (especially in a dry environment), you'll probably want to have some distilled water on hand to top off the tank. The pure part of the water is what evaporates, leaving behind all the minerals. If you constantly refill with tap water, you could end up with a toxic amount of minerals. Water changes with de-chlorinated tap water is fine, but just for topping off, you should use distilled water.

I have a 30 gallon tank with 25 gallons of water, and i have two quiet computer fans I bought at walmart for 10$ each and they keep the water perfectly cold. Im sure you could find a similar quiet fan on the internet. I find alot of fans work well as long as it keep water evaporation going smoothly and constantly.

Hello I have a BlueMarine chiller 400 with 180 liter fish tank. Cooler works perfectly at 30 degrees Celsius room temperature, the fish tank easily stays at 21 degrees Celsius. The disadvantage of cooling is that heat must be produced, which also increases the room temperature. The compressor does make a fair amount of noise. I don't recommend it in or near a bedroom. I don't know how hot it will get and how long it will last where you live. Fans have a limited cooling capacity and act on the evaporation of water. If the fish tank is properly filtered and has a lot of plants, they can live at a higher temperature for a limited time.
