Question: What is this??

I found this at the bottom of my tank when I went to clean it, I know it's not an eye since all axolotls have their eyes and limbs, I'm a little worried and confused can someone tell me what it is?

Have you fed pellets? They develop a fuzzy ball around them if uneaten over a couple of days

No no pellets just worms ( none were left in the tank) and it turned black after a while, I only left it in to see what it was.
