What kind of caterpillar is this?

Today I noticed this woolly caterpillar eating the Water soldiers in the nature pond. I don't know where it came from or how it got there, but it was gone an hour or so later just leaving some droppings on the leaf where it was.

Possibly a Buff Ermine moth caterpillar?

Yep, that's him, cheers Julia! I wonder how it got into the pond plants, maybe a bird dropped it in like a paratrooper.
