I think its a girl I'm not sure, any sugestions?

What color is it? Can you show us pictures?

I just got 3 baby axolotls and I named them Bowie (leucistic), Julio (golden albino), and Sagan (wild type).
I try to name them after things haha, in this case, a singer, a writer, and a scientist!
The more I think about it, the more David Bowie reminds me of a leucistic axie.
That's a nice looking wild type. Try to think of people or characters you like and go from there.

Let us know what you named him!

lol you named it after david bowie thats quite funny haha. Thanks for the advice and yeah I'll update you when I've finally named him/her :D

quite random but if my axolotl turns out to be a boy then I will name him poseidon king of the sea from greek mythology and if its a girl then ceto the goddess of sea monsters haha.. hopefully it will be a boy :p

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
