Hello, I am planning to get axolotl eggs, (50 of them) Should I get them a tank? If so, what size? Also, I have a brine shrimp hatchery, At what age shall I introduce brine shrimp to their diet? Thanks.

Hi I have been raising some right now and I kept the eggs in a small tank (or even a plastic tub works) then once they hatched transferred them to a plastic container. For feeding, I’m pretty sure it’s 24-48 hours after hatching that you can feed them BBS, this is because they have yoke in their stomachs still. wish you the best!

Nice, thanks for replying! I'll update you on the hatching process of the eggs. Right now they are still tiny balls.

They look like they're hatching. I'm transferring them into a container.

Exciting!! I had about 2/100 hatch on day 1, day 2 I had about 50 and the last remaining guys hatched within the next 3 days (I had to assist some guys getting out because some are too weak to break the egg sac). Also keep in mind you may need to make a water change (ammonia from the egg can cause the remaining eggs to struggle breaking out; i found this info on here somewhere I’ll try to find it again) so excited for you! upload photos if you can!!

Looks like he's gonna hatch right now! So cute! Parents are both wild types and they're all healthy! :D
