Hi all,
I'm thinking of using an Exo-Terra digital thermometer (http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/digital_thermometer.php) as it can display the min and max temps.
Can the sensor be submerged or is this only for reading air temps and secondly can this item be set to activate cooling fans?

Please advise of any other thermometers/set ups that can do the above (with an external display)

Thanks for your swift reply - I assume that the second one is also usable submerged.

What I'm hoping for is a unit that will run the Azoo cooling fan when needed (assuming we get a warm summer in the UK :p)

I like the digital ones much more. Its $10 versus $3, but they're faster, more accurate, and easier to read. Definitely a good investment.

EDIT: Oh, I just noticed we're talking about terrestrial thermometers. I'd go with one of these, it works for both terrestrial and aquatic readings and has the probe on a long cord.
