My little guy is almost 5" in length and seems to be growing at a good rate. I feed him black worms twice a day and sometimes the occasional block of frozen blood worms instead. He sucks them right up! I feel like with his growth he should be getting ready to eat bigger worms. Any advice?

You can switch once their mouth is big enough - I start mine on chopped worms at 3" so 5" is plenty big enough. Either cut large worms up or get smaller ones.

I am firmly of the opinion that an axie can take a worm almost as long as they are....

So if I find a worm that is about as long as he is I can give him the whole worm? If not just cut them in half? Also, how many should I feed him if I switch to earth worms?

Sorry, loads of questions!

Ask away - questions are fine!

Cut a worm into 2" lengths to start with - don't forget this is a new food and it may take a few attemps for your axie to recognise worms as food.

Once you axie knows worms are food you can be led by his appetite - offer him a worm or two a day, if he refuses he's obviously not hungry. My adults have 2 large worms in 3 days, juveniles may eat more until they are fully grown.
