When to feed axolotl?

I've been feeding mine at night, because I heard that's when they're most active, but I'm curious if there is a better time to feed and what times other people feed their axolotls.

Whenever I remember, usually night. I also keep their lights off during the day and turn them on around 4pm to 12-2amish, or whenever I go to bed. So their daylight period is in the evening when I feed (but their lights are very dim)
