White spots on gills, help?!

Hii,

Since a few days my axies have white spots at the beginning of their gills. I have no idea what it is and if it is harmfull.
I have checked the water and according to the test all values are ok.
The gills are also curled forward, they have always been like that, but I don't know if it's a sign of stress or if it's normal for mine. Because in pictures other axolotls, they have their gills more backwards.

By the way, there are some algae in my water, could that be the cause?

Are they bumps or are they flap and look like they are part of the skin? My guess would be that it is developing Iridiophores which just means the gills will be shinny(Most common in the Wild and Golden Axolotls).

Thank you very much Mikeg, I hadn't heard of irodophores before but it seems like that's it!
I was already afraid I did something wrong(because I recently put them in an aquarium).

I agree. They're iridophores. They can also be found on the tail of golden axies (and wildtypes too). Completely harmless and pretty

Some of my axies also have curled gills. And they've always had them. It's not always a sign of stress. It's also something genetic. Lovely axie!
