I'm thinking about getting one of these, may not, but maybe I will..
I know with axies you can't use gravel as a substrate, but can you with these?
My plan is to put one (maybe more) in a 3ft aquarium, with branches plants.. and a small pond.

So is gravel OK with these, or what about sand?
It will only be a temporary solution if it is OK of coarse. Thanks!

what are you thinking of doing? if your breeding I would not know much. Just keeping them i dont think gravel will do any harm, i would stay away from dry sand with these guys. keep em in high humidity of course, but they will spend most of there time up off the ground, so i dont know if substrate will be a huge problem

Thanks for the reply, I found my way over to the Frog Forum, which is great!
Sand & gravel are both no-nos, so I'm still thinking about my other options. I'm not sure if I will even be getting one, but I love the look of them!

from what i've read i think coconut coir and moss is probably the best for this frogs.
