I have responded to a couple of posts and some members may be wondering who is this Tim S guy. Well, the "S" stands for Salamander (actually Selander). I wrote a Masters Thesis in 1994 titled "Reproduction of Unisexual Hybrid Ambystoma (Urodela: Ambystomatidae) in the Absence of Parental Species". As a consequence of my research, I have a fair understanding of mole salamander reproduction and behavior and the unisexual complex.
Not including research animals I have bred over 36 species of fish, 10 species of birds, 9 species of amphibians, 3 species of lizards, and assorted rodents.
I came across this site while looking for a source for Axolotls and though what a great place to give my unsolicited advice.
