Who's this living in my backyard?

I found this little one when I moved the garbage can today. It's about an inch long. Can anyone ID him/her? I live in South Australia, if that helps at all.
Sorry about the quality of the second shot- it was taken through the side of a plastic container.

Thanks!

Wow that looks exactly like the pacific tree frog, but they only live in northwestern part of the United states and southwestern Canada.

Using the frog identification key on the site below, this is what I came up with:

http://www.environment.sa.gov.au/epa/frogcensus/tasman.html

Except for the dorsal stripe, it does look like the one I found.

What I'm most concerned about is where to release it, because I don't want my dog to eat this little guy! I've got it in a small rubbermaid bin for now with a bit of moss and some dirt. It ate an earthworm I gave it last night, and I'll try offering it some crickets later today. Any advice on where to put him, or other ideas about what kind of frog it might be?
Thanks
