Hello,
My 6 year old wild type, Smaug, has been losing colour over the last couple of months. He seems healthy otherwise, very frilly gills and eating/behaving normally. I've had him since he was a littleun. He used to be a brighter green and turned black as he matured which seems to be normal, but this seems odd.
Any ideas?
Also in the tank is Darwin who is a 7 year old leucistic. Her gills are much less frilly than they used to be but she is active and eats well so I'm not too concerned.

Wow! How odd! I haven't seen anything like it, I will hang around to see what other's say. Post the water conditions (temp, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite) in case that is contributing.
