Wood frog

It's breeding time for the R. sylvatica here in Michigan. One vernal pond I visited was practically boiling with wood frogs. Here's a male, calling for love.

Seems to work. There was lots of amplexus going on (it seems a fair bit of it was male on male

). These guys get so excited that they amplex with anything near!
