I was feeding Yoshi some blackworms and the ones he didnt eat and went into the container started swimming towards him and went behind his gills and i tried to suck up aas many as i could but then some started coming out of his mouth and he ate them again and then some seemed to exit that little gap behind the neck... is this dangerous at all?
i was very worried but found another post that said its normal but i wanted to check anyway..

It does happen and the axolotl will be fine. There are a fair few posts expressing the same concerns.

Yeah, when stitch eats tiny blood worms they slip through the gap and hes fine :D

Thank god lol, how freaky is it though hey...
I was freaking out thinking they were eating him alive !

I know the feeling! I freaked out too when I saw a bloodworm poking out of Toothless' neck. But it turns out there's a slot behind the gills that small worms can sometimes squeeze through - it's normal :D
