I realize the ideal temperature range is 60-65 degrees (at least from what I've read on sites). But I see a lot of you saying 70 degrees is okay for my axolotl to live in. I'm struggling to keep the water under 70 degrees, but it stays consistent and doesn't go over 72 degrees. Is this okay for my little guy?

Thanks! :D

72 F should be just fine.

Okay. I sometimes see him slightly hyper. I don't see him stay still too much, I'm guessing it could be the temperatures?

The higher the temps, the more active the axolotl is. Nothing wrong with that. If you feed him well he'll also be more active.

Juveniles are also more active than adults.

Okay then I feel much better about my axie's care. I feed him a little smaller than a U.S quarter sized chuck of bloodworms everyday. He's about 5-5 1/2" in length, would saying he's about 4-5 months old be about right? Still juvenile?
