Alexander Salamanderton likes to meander around the bottom of the tank, take a nap in his hide, so forth. And I'll be sitting here, looking in the direction of his tank, and there he will be. Or in the case of being is hide, there he won't be, I can't see in to it frmo this angle. But then, and this is where we're at right now, he will go "I need to be over there now" and suddenly I'm getting a show. A show which, if I try to film it or face time my dad so he can see it immediately stops, but a show nonetheless.

That is pretty delightful.

People have been known to sit by their tanks mesmerized for hours.
That would be me. At the moment he's doing his morning spurt of activity, so I've got a little entertainment before I go to work.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
