I have a youngish axolotl that i noticed isn't swallowing its food. i first noticed because it looked like it was getting skinny and so ive been feeding it more and it always grabs the pellets right away so i didnt think it was a problem until i sat and watched one day and realized its just not swallowing. It trys to swallow for a while but then eventually spits it out. When i first got it, it was very small and looked unhealthily thin. It has grown ALOT so i dont think this has been a problem for long but im not sure what could be causing this.

Is there something easier than pellets to feed it?
I feel so bad im just noticing it not swallowing now and its effecting its weight...

How young is it? Pellets can be too big for juveniles, usually juvies are fed on bloodworms or live blackworms.
