Infractions?

Helllllo, my name is Stefanie and I own three axolotls
Anyway, I got an infraction about a month ago because someone found something I said unhelpful.
Now I have a red dot next to my name It makes me feel dumb, will it ever go away..?

It will in time depending on the amount of good/accurate advice and sensible posts you add to the site. Try if you can to keep your posts short and to the point. That way people will be more likely to read them and post positive comments in return. A little bit of wit doesn't hurt as well as a friendly manner of putting across your views. Good luck.

The infraction you received has expired. The red dot reflects your reputation points which are currently in negative balance; these don’t expire. A number of people have either taken offence to comments you’ve made or they felt the advice you gave was poor. You can view your reputation comments and the posts they relate to in the “User Control Panel” (top left corner of the menu bar).

The good news is that you have received some positive reputation amongst the negative. All you need to do is concentrate on giving good advice and your reputation will improve.

I just noticed that now when I hover over the red dot it says I've given a lot of bad advice but when I first got it, it just said has given some or something...
What's going on? I can only see the negatives.

There were positive comments left on the 3rd of May but I can’t see if the reputation points were positive. I assumed they were.

Either way, if you concentrate on giving good advice your rep will improve .

Try clicking on the UserCP link near the top of the forum in the green bar. It should bring up a screen like in the picture below where I labeled things.

Okay thank-you for all the info, I found the page that tells me about my reputation and infraction points
I didn't expect to get so many replies over so little time. I suppose more people are active on the introductions page.
