I saw a post on here somewhere and put a reply to it, but cannot find it. So I read shrimps can go with newts but may (probably will) get eaten.
I have just bought a load of red cherry shrimp. Someone local to me is selling them at 2 pence each. I dont know how many I got, but I gave him a fiver. I have loads of baby shrimp. Too small yet to go in the newt tank, but I will end up putting them in there. He also gave me a big handful of java moss out of the shrimp tank. And a load of pest snails. I actually asked for the snails. lol. They are food for the blue lobsters (crayfish). I have put a load in their tank already and there are loads of snails in the moss in the shrimp bowl. I am going to let the shrimp grow to adut size and breed before I put some in with the newts.
He also gave me some duck weed. I think it is duck weed. Is it ok in the newt tank.
I have put a big clump of java moss in with the newts and there will be a load of snails in there. I am not bothered about the snails as they will grow, breed and become lobster food.
I think for the amount of moss I have and the amount of shrimp (pity no adults), I think I got a bargain.
