AW: Re: Big mama Terrestris
big mama weighed pregnant 64gr(picture) and each of the 49 larvas had 1,37inch(3,5cm picture). The birth lasted from 21.04. - 12.05. The metamorphose 07.06. - 20.06. Five larvas died during four weeks.
Twenty years ago it was a great experience when I saw the first red Terrestris in nature. Probably the gene is recessive - the population is approximately 1000 and thereof 1%-3% red/orange/tricolor. It's bare possibility that red-red mate, because red-red is dominant, than the population must have circa 10%-20% red.
Red-yellow is recessive and by Mendelson at least a quater red in the next generation, I am no scientist, hopefully they know more about this miracle,
The third mama was together with a red and a orange male (pictures),
