Completely random post here....

I dont have an axolotl....

But reading up on all your little critters and seeing pics and videos of them all is making me want one soooooooooo bad  ! Heeheehee. They are all I can think about just now!

Maybe one day in the future ;) :D

Turn around and run as fast as you can and never, ever look back..........you have been warned

hahahahaha. Its too late I fear. Its all I go on about to the hubby,,, He's having none of it though :( hahaha xxx

Find one somewhere that MUST be rescued from CERTAIN death. A breeder who's been "arrested" or something and needs 35 bucks for his defense against the unjust crimes. That's what I do with my wife. :D

pahaha I wish! I have 5 tank set ups in the living room already. So that's a big fat nay from him :(

Where there is a will there is a way. My hubby is not a 'pet keeper', he uses the excuse of excessive children against me . I am currently secreting various amphibians into the children's rooms. He does not seem to realise the plastic crates now contain living things, rather than action men etc.

hahahaha I laughed so much at that my hubby was asking me why I was in stitches hahaha. Thats amazing hahaha!

Have to agree...that made me howl!

CherryBlossom, think of this thread as being like a "petition" to persuade Mister Blossom to yield to the delights of axolotl ownership....;)

hahaha i will get my own way eventually. I always do ;) I said I would get one maybe next year or something. We shall see.

One of the greatest things about axolotl, is that once their water has cycled, they are so easy to look after. Keep their temperatures below 20 degrees and all is good. You can even go on holiday and not worry about them, though with my guys I came back to eggs...I am not really encouraging you to get an axolotl....much..

Perhaps if say, a 52 inch HD flat screen appeared with a crate of lager in the living room at the same time as your new pet, he wont notice the tank.

Or, next time hubby goes out for a 'quick drink', the next morning you make him breakfast in bed and thank him so much for agreeing to you buying an axolotl the night before.

These are two very effective ways my missus uses to get things she wants, The big TV is kind of just me tempting fate I usually just get a coffee and a pack of fags....but I get the impression you are a lot nicer then my missus;)

hahahaha you guys are amazing. I will put some of these to use! hahahah <3 (ps I have a spare 2 foot tank sitting in my hallway doing nothing right now......... hahaha)

When my wife initially said NO to my 55 gallon I took time off from work with a friend... went and got it....hauled it into the bedroom and filled it with sand and water.
She was hacked off for a couple of days and called my Axolotls "lizards" for a few weeks. But she cooled off because I'm the perfect husband in every other way (except for the ways where I am not). :D
Then she said no to my Shrimp tank. Then my other shrimp tank. Then my other Axolotl tank for Karl the GFP Melanoid when he started getting picked on.
Now I want a Fluval Chi for my desk at work with some more shrimp.

So, Mac, your philosophy on these such issues is do it any way and wait for the missus to calm down? And this works!? Would you like to swap? like a sort of time share

CherryBlossom, when you got married, didn't you marry 'four better, four worse. four richer, four poorer'.........that makes sixteen Mr Blossoms in total.
Surely one of them will agree to you keeping an axie?

My parents said no to the new tank for my axolotls. So I found one on Craigslist that was so cheap we "couldn't pass it up!" It's in the living room now.

Ideally I would want the critter in the living room. But there is absolutely no space in here. And moving one of the newt set ups to the bedroom... I would need help with I couldnt possibly do it on my own. He wouldnt help me with that out of principle ahahaha.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:you guys crack me up..........the kids in class think im a nutter(im at work)

cherry....just set the tank up ....he will never notice.....it could be up and cycled before he sees it...everybody has your back here..
mac.....i do that to my hubby........ i just got another 3ftx21/2ftx3ft fish tank which has guppies and goldfish(im thinking cherry shrimp would look great in there as well)........and im waiting for a black axie so abby and have a friend(hopefully girl)
