I have searched through tank cooling ideas. I didn't find anything using computer liquid water cooling systems.

I noticed that most aquarium chillers are pricey. I was thinking that this Amazon.com: Cooler Master Seidon 120V - PC CPU Liquid Water Cooling System, All-In-One Kit with Compact 120mm Radiator and Fan: Computers & Accessories

could be setup to cool an aquarium tank. Any suggestions? Has anyone tried this technique. I know a lot have used computer fans, but I am more interested in trying something else. If you think something like that could be used, how do you think it could be set up??

Thanks for any help! :D

Yeah, I think the same as ksc133, I don't think it will have much of an effect on the temperature unless the tank is small enough. Even then, I still don't think it would be efficient enough.

Thanks guys. I was thinking on using it for a 10 gallon tank. :p I'm looking into some other ideas too though. I am wondering how long the hoses would need to be, so I am going to take a trip to the computer store for research. I'm thinking I might try going with the mini fridge ideas I've seen on youtube. They seem more realistic.. LOL

Aplestris, no problem about the messaging. I know you are busy having fun! :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
