Firebelly Newt Skin Discoloration?

So I noticed today that my firebelly newt has some lighter skin patches.. growing I guess? I moved the tank near a window so I originally thought it could be algae, but I gently tried to move it off of my newt but I realized it was just a permanent thing. It's not noticable that much in the picture but it's along his/her backside and near the glands on the head

I noticed the temperature has gone up a bit in my room so I'm thinking of moving my tank to the basement to keep it cooler... could it be the change in temperature?

Also, I have rocks in my tank from outside, I boiled them and nothing has really gone on in the past week and a half so I think theyre safe, but if that helps at all then yeah.

I'm just concerned, I've had him/her for about 3-4 months now and I wanna know if anything is wrong

I can see what look like little brown patches, do you mean those? Some better pictures, maybe in better light would help, but it doesn't look like skin sores or anything sinister to me. Overall your newt looks quite healthy and a good weight and skin sores are usually more of a problem on thin, stressed animals. I would say keep your eye on him and see if the marks start to spread.
In the mean time just make sure his tank is set up properly for aquatic newts. Basically lots and lots of live plants and cold, clean water. Also a good diet of live blackworms or chopped nightcrawlers is very important to keep these newts in the best of health. Hope this helps.

As for the spots, most of my H. orientalis have extra orange spots scattered around them.
