Introduction

Hello everyone, my name is Jeramy. I currently do not have any pets just yet, and mainly sort of considering my options and doing research since I will have a 20 gall freed up here in a few weeks.

Welcome, Germs! What kind of pets are you considering?

Well, do to the size of the aquarium and where I live (Indiana) I am considering Fire Belly Salamanders. I think they are just awesome to look at, are hardy, and just unique little guys.

You mean fire-bellied newts? Those are really pretty, and nice newts. Did you read about them?
Here's the care sheet. I think a lot of people start with them because they seem to be the most readily available newt.

Yeah, I read on here all Newts are Salamanders more or less, and I unsure if I will get the Japanese or Chinese variety, so I thought I would play it safe and be broad.. haha

Yeah. I am considering them b/c I like their look and I think they could best fit my needs as a pet owner (my climate in Indiana) and the fact I have a 20 gallon.
