It's normal One of my axolotl's has the same sort of thing, and I freaked out thinking it could be causing him discomfort or something but I had a lovely person and well respected axolotl breeder reassure me that it's normal and that not all axolotl's gills are the same length on each size
She'll be breathing fine, don't worry. It's only when the gills start receding or are genuinely damaged that you need to worry. Your little one looks healthy & happy! What a little beauty
