I have had this Tiger for nearly 5 months, picked her up at Hamburg. She was bred by the creator of this forum, John Clare and I picked her up via Rainforest Junkies. All the specimens at the show were beautiful and healthy looking. This is my first Tiger or Salamander and I very much enjoy this weird little creature!

How old is she? I'm trying to figure out how old my Salamander is.

Not sure exactly but I'm guessing on the younger side as she still has some growing to do.

She is gorgeous! I’ll have to keep a lookout for a similar show, I’ve been looking to pick up another Tiger.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
