Neurergus crocatus egg and larvae pic

First time working with this species and spent some time photographing at home. My microscope isn't good enough to get development pics of the egg but does show the double membrane nicely. The larvae is a recent hatched individual.







And yes I need to fix the date/time stamp :) Some may have seen this post on the fb page.

congratulations ...i hope that you ll gona raise hundreds and hundreds of babies.
how old are the adults ?
and you are keeping them in full water set up year round or only for the breeding season ?

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
