I was going to buy some pvc pipe at Bunnings to make a hide, but when I was in Big W came across a perfect hide (plastic fake log) that is about 26 cm long and quite wide (enough for two) and It has a few holes along the sides so my Axle can go in and out. It cost 17 dollars but i decided to buy it and Axle finally started using the full length of it today. He really likes it. So I am pleased and tempted to buy a second one and remove the non functional castle ornament from his tank.
I would like to get a second axolotl would two fit ok in a 92 cm long tank? Axle seems to like the idea of a mate because he chases his reflection in the glass of the tank during the day.( either that or he is very vein;-)
He is an active juvenile still at 17 cm and about 5 months old now.
