Hi everyone, so I'm fairly new to axolotls and I've had two of them for about half a year now. About a few days ago I noticed my white axolotl was missing part of his tail. I'm not sure if his tank mate did it or if he did it himself or what happened and I know with time it heals but it looks like he's in constant pain and I wanna make sure it's not infected or anything and what I can possibly do to help him out.

taking him out of the tank so he can heal in a clean isolation tub might help, it should be "scabbed" over in a few days then slowly regrow with time. Watch for infection but if you keep them cool and clean that looks like a wound that will heal on its own
