Hello and welcome to the forum

Vets Hatfield | Hertfordshire Vet | Bishops Veterinary Surgery

These guys are based in Hertfordshire and say they treat exotics.

Are you able to post pictures of your salamander and do you mean a white axolotl?

You may be better off seeking help in the sub sections dealing with sick animals rather than here in the intro section

The vets that CJ1981 has mentioned have treated axolotl before, so if you could get to see them I am sure they will be happy to help.

Could you may be add some photo's too so we can see what the problem is ?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
