The tubing is hosing for koi set-ups. It's good because it comes in lots of different sizes, bends and the ribs give some extra grip. Most large aquatic centres sell it on rolls, at least here in the UK.

PVC Hose, Black Ribbed Flexi Hose, Alfagoma Hose, Clear PVC Hose, Flexible Hose

I've also used normal drainage pipe in the past and it does the job fine, although my preference is for the bendy hose.
 
I got the tubes and he loves it! Thanks for the great idea!!! I have a 3 sets of tunnels going on and he is really using them. :D
