How many snails and what species are they? I have pond and horn snails in my fish tank and I find they're pretty slimy, I also have an apple/mystery snail or 2 in my fire bellied newts tank but they don't seem to be as slimy. Some snails eat live plants, and as plants die, I find they leave and yuckiness behind. And then again, it's only been up for a week, so that just may be a normal thing...someone more experienced will probably have an answer for you
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
