This is my girl when she was nice and healthy (on the road to recovery!). She just ate a worm and is in mid gulp. Looks like a cheeky toothless grin!! And that's Carlos in his safety cup to avoid fatty gobbling up his food or legs :)

PS sorry it's on the side

Depending on how you look at it, your axie could be scuttling up to find the camera, or it could be wiggling backwards and hiding. :p

 This is so true!
It leaves me there with a camera in my hands saying: "...Well, I'm sorry. I just wanted to make you famous/look fabulous..."

Exactly! :) I still haven't been able to get a picture of how beautiful Astrid actually looks.

Melba and Toasty: "Noooo pics please!"
*Trying to escape. Pushing themselves backwards with their cute little front legs*

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
