Worms?

Ive owned Buttercup for a long time now and never had a health issue with her until now.

I think Buttercup has worms.
She has been eating pellets and garden worms for years with no issues.
I added some plants into her tank and she started eating them, I didn't think that would be a issue.
She started to get really fat and she is a pig so I didn't think much of it until today when I cleaned her tank.
There was a little red worm about 1 cm long, it didn't move until I poked it with the syphon.
I only found one so far.
Is it possible for them to get worms?

I guess there would have been more than 1 if she did have worms.
