I fixed that, Peter. Thanks for reporting it.

Hi,

I'm not sure if it is oversight or intent but the helpful "New Material/ No New Material" button is missing from the new Advanced Topics forum.

Actually it's not - if you click "Advanced Topics" the buttons appear like normal. Because Advanced Topics is such a large umbrella category with so many subtopics, there are mini buttons like the new material buttons that go blue or orange to show no new message or new message (orange being new).

Actually now that I think about it, I think I need to change the settings slightly.

OK, I think that's what you were looking for - take a look. Also I've moved the Administration Topics (the moderator topics) and Donor Topics (not visible to basic "Registered Users") to the General Topics area to clean things up a little.

It seems I'm the only one with a blog right now - won't someone else join me?

Yes, that's what I meant. Thank you. I find the feature very practical.

I will make a blog - that's like a public diary, right?

Re: Forum Changes

Is there a way to edit your blog once you've put one up? I can't see an 'edit' button. If I can't tweak my work, I get hives!

oh, I found it. It doesn't say "edit." You have to click on the little pencil. In case anyone else wonders. My hives are going away now, thank you.

Re: Forum Changes

I have edited mine - I think there's a button at the bottom right when you open your own blog entries?

I noticed that I can't use the pull-down menu for "new messages" on the opening forum page, but I can elsewhere. I don't know if it's just me or a glitch.

Works for me just fine - anyone else have that problem?

I just found the pm's ( after much exploring) via the profile page, under contact imfo section for the relevant person. Its not quite as strait forward as it used to be though.

You can find links to the private messages under the User CP on the leftmost bar under private messages. There is also a link at the top of every page below your login information (right below Welcome Bellabelloo.) That should be easier to get to. I can post pictures if you'd like.

to John:
No, Quick Links does not work, but Search brings you to the Advanced search page instead of bringing up the Search pull down.

What Internet Browser and version are you using? IE 7 and FF 2 both work fine for me...

I've reverted it to the default version. What happens when you click Search and Quick Links?

IE6 (I'm at work) and FF2 (my personal work computer is way better) clicking on Quick Links reloads the page and changes that bar. New Posts works fine. Search goes right to the Advanced Search page.
